Kevin Durant has turned down a max contract offer from the Golden State Warriors to sign with the Brooklyn Nets. Durant is joining fellow All-Star, Kyrie Irving, on dual max deals. Durant’s deal is going to be four years and $164M. It is expected to miss most, if not all, of next season.
Durant tore his achilles against the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals.
It is unclear how the Nets are going to structure Durant’s deal for next season, but we’ll just wait for everything to play out before judging.
It is safe to say that a lot of basketball fans in the Seattle area are going to be big Nets supporters over the next four years.
