The Conference of Champions released their 2020 football schedule Thursday afternoon.
Oregon’s slate looks like this:
At first glance, this doesn’t pose any glaring flaws. The short week game will be against Arizona State in Autzen following a home game against USC, which is about as good as that can get for the Ducks.
The early-season slate will be Oregon’s true test, as the Ducks must travel to Colorado for their conference opener before Husky Hate Week at home. I suppose this could be a good thing, as it always makes me nervous when we have too many home games in a row to start the year.
Of course, we’ve known about the Buckeyes coming to town for a while now (9/12), but don’t overlook the North Dakota State Bison, who just won their third FCS Championship in a row, in a classic week 1 trap game.
The only other mild concern this schedule presents is two road games to close the season against Pac-12 North foes in Cougars and Beavers, but I fully expect Mario Cristobal to have his guys prepared.
