2019 NBA Draft: Blazers draft Nassir Little

The Portland Trail Blazers have drafted Nassir Little, a small forward out of North Carolina.

Little was projected to be a top ten pick and a lot of people (including myself) were shocked that Little fell this far. He’s a tremendous athlete, can get his own shot, is an above average defender, and has a decent three-point shot. He does need to work out his shot a little bit and he’s going to be in a great position to learn behind both Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

As a freshman, Little only played eighteen minutes a night for Roy Williams and the Tar Heels. He averaged just under 10 points and five rebounds a game.

The Blazers are going to have a guy who might be able to contribute later in the season and we will definitely be looking to see how he plays with big minutes in the Summer League starting next week.

We’ll have a more in depth breakdown of LIttle tomorrow.
