It was reported yesterday by Joe Freeman of the Oregonian that prior to Portland’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies that CJ McCollum participated in 3-on-3 drills. This is the first known time that he has worked out on the court with the team since his injury.
McCollum has been out of action since he suffered a popliteus strain against the Spurs on March 16th. The Blazers have been surprisingly good in his absence, going 8-1 over the last three weeks. In even better news for Blazers fans, CJ is going to be traveling with the team to Denver on Friday night.
There is not a timeframe for CJ’s exact return, but that won’t stop people from speculating on when he might step on the court again.
The Blazers have four more games left before the playoffs start next weekend.
Here is a video of CJ during the practice.
