Dwight Janes of NBC Sports has reported that Zach Collins suffered a fairly substantial injury to his right ankle while working out in Las Vegas. The injury is grade 2 sprain and a torn ligament, while Collins is in a walking boot, he’s expected to be ready for training camp.
Collins was the Blazers first-round pick in 2017 and played a prominent role for the team down the stretch and had some really good minutes in the playoffs. It is expected that Collins will compete and potentially win the starting power forward position.
We wish Zach a quick recovery.
