Seattle Seawolves and the City of Tukwila Announce Partnership

Tukwila, WASH. – The Seattle Seawolves today announced a new partnership with Tukwila ahead of the upcoming Major League Rugby season. The city is home to the Starfire Sports complex where the Seawolves both play their home matches and hold training sessions.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the city that’s been the Seawolves home since the launch of Major League Rugby in 2018,” said Seawolves president, Shane Skinner in today’s press release. “We’ve made so many great memories in the City of Tukwila, including two championship seasons, and we look forward to partnering with Tukwila, as we work to bring a third MLR championship home to our fans.”

Supporters of the back-to-back MLR champions can look forward to a variety of family-friendly events throughout the city and two official away match viewing parties at Virtual Sports.

“It was only natural for the City of Tukwila to partner with our hometown champion Seawolves,” said Tukwila Mayor Allan Ekberg “The Seawolves draw an enthusiastic crowd to Tukwila throughout their season and as part of this new partnership, we will be able to offer even more exciting opportunities to those fans.”

The team kicks off their season this Sunday at Torero Stadium in San Deigo against the San Diego Legion. Their first home match takes place on February 22nd against the Toronto Arrows.
