The Seattle Sounders might be looking to add another Uruguayan midfielder during the current transfer window.
Sebastián Cristóforo, who currently plays for La Liga side Getafe, is being linked with several teams while the current transfer window is open. The 25 year old central midfielder just got back from a loan stint with Fiorentina of Serie A and it has been clear since his return that he is not in the future plans with his La Liga squad. According to Violanews.com, several Spanish clubs have shown interest, along with Dinamo Moscow of Russia and the Seattle Sounders of Major League Soccer (MLS).
This would not be the first time that Seattle made a move for a midfielder during the midseason transfer window, as they signed current team captain Nicolás Lodeiro away from Boca Juniors (Argentina) back in 2016. Adding Cristóforo would add great depth to a Sounders squad looking to make their yearly second half push towards the top of the table.
The Uruguayan has 1 goal in 119 appearances at the club level. He also has 15 appearances for the Uruguay U20 squad, where he has notched 1 goal as well. The current Mid-Season transfer window closes on August 9th.
